The Physics Table is a series of demonstration programs (typically 10-15 minutes or less) illustrating basic principles of physics and some of the technologies related to them.  Dr. D tailors the presentation to the visitors present at the time, and we hope to reach the smallest kids up through grad students (and/or interested parents and grandparents).  Each program includes as much audience participation as we can work in, and our goal is to surprise, educate and entertain.  Come learn with Dr. D and bring along those older kids.  Existing and (in some cases) proposed programs are detailed below.  Check them out as we get them posted (this site is under heavy construction!) by clicking on the links below.  If a table entry is not yet an active link, please check back later.  If you or your child is interested in some particular topic, please stop by or e-mail me (see link below).  I may be able to accommodate your interest or refer you to other resources.

I don’t have some of the descriptions or background pages ready yet, but I expect to include a summary of each program, a few diagrams or photos, background info and links where appropriate.  The goal is to pique interest and maybe prompt some study before (or after) the program.  The linked pages will be prepared very soon and in the order of the schedule.  Please check back often!
